Adding and Customizing a Poll Block
Poll blocks embedded in your emails are a powerful way to boost engagement and gather insights directly from your subscribers.
Adding a poll to your template
- Open your template — Navigate to your dashboard and select the email template you wish to edit (or create a new one).
- Locate the sidebar — On the left-hand menu, look for the Blocks tab.
- Drag and drop — Find the Poll Block icon. Click, hold, and drag it into the desired position within your email layout.
Configuring the poll
Once the block is placed, click on it to open the customization overlay. You have two ways to get started:
- Create New Poll — Build a fresh question and set of answers.
- Select Existing Poll — Reuse a poll you've created in a previous session.
Content options
- Poll vs. Trivia — Use the toggle to switch between a standard Poll (opinion-based) or Trivia mode (which lets you designate correct/incorrect answers).
- Answer options — Add or remove choices by clicking + Add option.
Important: Once you click Next/Confirm, the question and answer choices are locked in. Double-check for typos or logic errors before finalizing — these fields cannot be edited once saved. If you need to change the content later, delete the block and create a new one.
Pro-tip: Keep poll questions short and answer options distinct. For Trivia polls, adding a "fun fact" in the caption section is a great way to reward users for participating!
Styling (colors, fonts, images)
- Caption — Add context by typing directly in the editor to insert an optional caption below the poll.
- Design settings — Use the right-hand sidebar to adjust global settings like button color and layout alignment.
- Text styling — Click directly on any text inside the poll block to change font styles, sizes, and colors individually.
